“Designing Sarasota an Architectural History” Exhibit at CFAS
The Sarasota Architectural Foundation has partnered in an exciting exhibition with the Center for Architecture Sarasota, Sarasota Alliance for Historic Preservation and the AIA Gulf Coast Chapter. Opening January 13th, at the Center for Architecture Sarasota is “Designing Sarasota an Architectural History”.
This exhibit examines the unique history of architecture in Sarasota from the time of Native Americans to the present.
SAF was responsible for curating the exhibition’s section on the “Sarasota School of Architecture,” with presentation boards on Ralph Twitchell, Paul Rudolph, Victor Lundy, Tim Seibert, Jack West, Frank Folsom Smith and Carl Abbott. Each board contains a short biography of the architect and 3-4 sample representative buildings.
